Nal’ibali is a well-known NGO running a national read-for-enjoyment campaign based in Cape Town.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project/Programme Manager to oversee the roll out and implementation of a USAID funded, school-based literacy development programme in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal in 2017.
The programme manager will be responsible for the overall management of the programme, including: coordinating training, facilitation and support of community based fieldworkers * the collection of (M&E) data of the programme activities * Stakeholder Management with the Department of Basic Education, USAID/Washington activity managers, technical officers and Contracting Officers, NORC and PRAESA * Project reporting, including qualitative and quantitative insights into activities undertaken, reflective analysis, using M&E data and financial reports * Co-management of communication materials development, PR and events
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in education and/or social development.
* Proven track record in managing large national projects and teams
* Written and spoken proficiency in English plus one additional language (ideally isiXhosa or isiZulu)
* Driver’s license and willingness to travel.
