This year's Story Bosso contest received an overwhelming total of 6 317 entries from all over South Africa - by far our highest number of entries to date since we launched the contest in 2015. The entries we received were of a very high standard, which made choosing the best stories a tough process!
The theme for this year was intsomi (folktales). We held numerous events hosting storytelling performances across the country for the month of September. The contest was open to all members of the public, young and old alike, to tell us their favourite stories in their preferred South African language.
