Nal'bali Stakeholder Engagement

Nal'ibali's Stakeholder Engagement Event on December 5th, 2024 was nothing short of spectacular. The event, held at Southern Sun Rosebank, was a vibrant gathering of important stakeholders, including funders, strategic and implementing partners, creatives, academics, and Nal'ibali's committed team.

This exceptional event allowed Nal'ibali to highlight our most recent innovations, learning, and remarkable partnerships that enhance the South African literacy environment. The following were the main highlights from the event:
Stories of Impact: Videos showing the achievements across our various projects, illustrating the real change we’re making together through the voices of our beneficiaries.

Learnings and Reflection: Members of the Nal'ibali team reflected on the organisation's achievements, learnings and goals for the future.

Theatre: Attendees were the first to experience the 2025 World Read Aloud Day Play based on Nal'bali's WRAD 2025 story "What is that?", created in collaboration with ASSITEJ - bringing storytelling to a new life.

Networking & Celebration: The event provided an excellent space to celebrate the partnerships fueling our work and connect with like-minded individuals dedicated to literacy and education.
Panel discussion: Our board member, Ms Nadeema Mushtan, facilitated a panel discussion on the topic of "The Value of Partnerships in the Literacy Ecosystem." The theme was "The importance of partnerships and collaboration in the literacy ecosystem and how diverse stakeholders can work together to address challenges in early learning, literacy, and socio-economic outcomes."

Nal'ibali's Stakeholder Engagement was a perfect mix of learning, reflection, and celebration – with a creative twist! Thank you to our team, funders, partners and colleagues in the literacy space for making the event a success!!
