 So, who won?

The Story Bosso winner is: Lindiwe Makhoba, Poem Title: My Life as a Princess

“One of the most imperative aspects of any story/poem is to inspire change. Lindiwe does exactly that, furthermore she brings a sense of confidence with her poem. She uses her home language to harness her delivery making it a rhythmic poetic.”- Judge's comment.

Provincial winners

Eastern Cape
Java Hoy Corr

“This compassionate and passionate story is told in a low tone yet it’s entertaining to listen to. The teller also brings meaning to the story towards the end and makes the story informative and educational in a fun way.”- Judge's comment

Gauteng
Lethuxolo November

“Lethuxolo’s story reminds us of the very critical aspect of stories as the basis for literacy development. The story is good and entertaining and although she didn’t use voice variations she was original”- Judge's comment

KwaZulu Natal
Sabelo Khomo

“Sabelo’s story is my favourite because it has not one but two elements of storytelling in it: song and education. Him, or the story having music in it works for him.”- Judge's comment

Mpumalanga
Dimakatso Letsoele

“For the fact that she had to finish the story from the story card, she is brilliant. You cannot hear the difference when she is reading and continues with the story that has a beautiful ending.”- Judge's comment

North West
Annah Gumbi

“I like the voice variation she used. The story is beautiful, very clear and easy to follow and listen to.”- Judge's comment

Limpopo
Maggy Matladi

“The storyteller (Maggy) is quite amusing. Her voice, tone and the way she narrates the story holds the listener.”- Judge's comment
