Story Sparkers (10) – Northern Cape (Postmasburg and Danielskuil)

6 Full-Time Story Sparkers & 4 Part-Time Story Sparkers We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for literacy to join our team!! Nal’ibali (isiXhosa for “here’s the story”) is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign. It builds literacy skills and lifelong reading culture in homes, schools and communities across South Africa. Nal’ibali seeks Story Sparkers to support the implementation of an innovative, community-based literacy initiative focused on building and sustaining a culture of reading. Story Sparkers will play an important role in mobilizing communities, supporting reading clubs, promoting reading-for-enjoyment activities, engaging with children, families, schools and ECD centres, and ensuring that literacy resources reach intended beneficiaries. The Story Sparker will promote the programme inspire communities, Early Childhood Development centres, schools and families to participate in reading-for-enjoyment activities. They will support the establishment and sustainability of reading clubs, engage with community stakeholders, facilitate literacy activities, distribute reading materials, and collect information on project activities and outcomes.

Project Coordinator – Northern Cape (Postmasburg)

Nal’ibali (isiXhosa for “here’s the story”) is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign. It builds literacy skills and lifelong reading culture in homes, schools and communities across South Africa. Nal’ibali seeks Project Coordinator to drive an innovative, community-wide project funded by a solar power company whose aim is to create communities that support and demonstrate reading culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating project activities, building strong partnerships, and supporting field teams to deliver effective literacy interventions. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to meaningful long-term change by working with communities, local partners to improve literacy outcomes for children. The successful candidate will work closely with the National Projects Manager, Literacy Mentor, Story Sparkers, community stakeholders to implement project plans, support learning and ensure the achievement of project objectives

Literacy Mentor – Northern Cape (Postmasburg /Danielskuil)

Nal’ibali (isiXhosa for “here’s the story”) is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign. It builds literacy skills and lifelong reading culture in homes, schools and communities across South Africa. Nal’ibali seeks a Literacy Mentor to support the implementation of an innovative, community-based literacy project focused on building and sustaining a culture of reading. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Coordinator to strengthen stakeholder relationships, mentor and support 10 Story Sparkers, coordinate project activities and ensure effective delivery of literacy interventions that benefit children and communities.
