Thank You For Sharing Your Stories! A huge thank you to everyone who entered our Call for Stories. We were inspired by the creativity, imagination and passion you showed in bringing new children’s stories to life in our South African languages. We’re grateful to every writer who took the time to put pen to paper and share their work with us. Your stories have the power to open new worlds, spark imaginations and help children see themselves in the books they read. We’re now looking forward to reading your submissions and celebrating the incredible storytelling talent that continues to grow across our country. We will announce the winners in due course. Building Stronger Reading Cultures Across Waterberg Schools. Strong reading cultures start with educators who have the tools, confidence and support to make reading a meaningful part of school life. On Day 3 of our training in Waterberg District, we worked with 34 educators across four circuits, strengthening their capacity to establish and run effective reading clubs in schools. Delivered in partnership with the Limpopo Department of Education’s Library Information Services Directorate, the training focused on practical approaches to creating engaging reading spaces where children can read for enjoyment, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of stories. This is what building a culture of reading looks like: equipping educators, strengthening schools and creating more opportunities for children to read.

58 Schools And Educators Reached In Sekhukhune South District. On the second day of last week’s training, Nal’ibali, in partnership with the Limpopo Department of Education’s Library Information Services, reached 5 circuits and 58 schools and educators across the Sekhukhune South District. The training equipped educators with practical tools to establish functional Reading Clubs and Classroom Reading Corners, using storytelling, reading aloud, songs, games and creative, low-cost resources to make reading more engaging for children. This work supports the department’s commitment: “We Start Together, We End Together, No One Left Behind.”
