Celebrating International Mother Language Day: Join the conversation

Nal’ibali invites you to attend this year’s International Mother Language Day event on the 21st of February 2018. 

The event will be an open panel discussion facilitated by Nal’ibali’s Literacy Mentor, Thandoxolu Mkoyi. The panel will comprise three speakers: 

• Dr Nomfundo Mali from PANSALB.
• Ms Somikazi Deyi from UCT’s African languages department.
• Ms Bulelwa Basse, founder of the Lyrical Base Project, an arts and culture organisation.

The topic for the evening is: Mother tongue and education: Guiding the journey from early childhood to higher education.
