This year’s Story Bosso talent search is officially over and we are pleased to announce the winners!
The theme for this year was intsomi (folktales), and we held numerous events hosting storytelling performances across South Africa. We received an overwhelming total of 6 317 entries from all over the country. The entries were impressive, which made selecting the winning stories a tough process!

Celebrating diversity with drag queen story hour in Soweto

The journey of a literacy mentor

Cokisa Sicwebu is a Kwa Zulu-Natal-based Nalibali literacy mentor. She is in charge of seven story sparkers and oversees 35 schools in the remote rural Ugu district near Port Shepstone, spanning Hibberdene and the Mtwalume district.
